When I started off reading this book I didn’t really know if Robert Langton was going to be in this book I never looked at the back but once i started reading i found out Robert Langton is in this book. It started off kind of slow like most of his books Langton is in Washington dc and he is going to give a lecture to people about the national statuary hall. I researched what that was and i found out it is like a museum but it has old sculptures about American history and it is in nations capitol. But while he was also giving the lecture with peter Solomon which is a 33rd Masson which he is also the main man in the Smithsonian institution. when Robert Langton gets into the capitol and gets where he is going to say the speech at there is no audience and he got a phone call from the so called Solomon’s office he heard a scream and ran toward the scream and he found the right hand of the mason peter Solomon which was mounted on a stick. weird I know right. when he looked at the hand he has seen that there were tattoos on each of the fingers he examined them carefully and he said it was the symbolic hand of mysteries and he thought and it made him think of the fresco on the inside of the capitol dome. he had also noticed the ring on peters hand realizes that it is the hand of his kidnapped friend and from messages already received he knows that the kidnapper wants him to find both the Masons Pyramid which they also said that all Masons believe is hidden somewhere underground in Washington dc Soon enough all the police come and the big dogs come in. while Langdon is examine it again he tells the people that if the fingers are moved more tattooing will be found. Sato which is a person or a girl opens the fingers and in a instant more tattoos are found. and when they look around the see a so called wall moving but found out it was a curtain and they see a small pyramid with no caption but when they got closer they saw something carved into it which makes Langton’s next stop. And the thing peter wanted rob to bring at the beginning of the book had to do something with a pyramid cause when the police x-ray his bag they say a pyramid in it. but soon enough with all the clues Langton had added up and the kidnapper turns out to be Malakh a tattooed criminal. Mal'akh also destroys the Smithonsonian sponsored laboratory of Dr. Katherine Solomon which is Peter's sister. he captures Langton and puts im in a tank with different gases and he takes Solomon with him to leave Langton to die but the police show up and Langton tells them were malk is heading and they make a plan to stop him. but Langton finds peter that has been hit and once he got back his memory he told Langton that the word is real and blindfolded him and took him to a place and when he unblended him he told Langton to look down and once he did he saw the capitol below him and he know that he is on top of the Washington monument. He finds out that the word came out to be laus deo which means praise god
